Opinion: Tax Rebate Proposal

Economic stimulus monies should NOT go directly to the consumer, but should instead be geared to those providing services for the economy instead.  Cash given to most people will go straight to retail, of which 1/3 will go to imports (Asia & Middle East) almost immediately, so the we are essentially going into deficit to fund imports.

A stimulus package should be geared toward the **money changing hands as many times as possible, within our country** (e.g. for business services, personal services, etc) before being spent on retail.

Help Small Business create jobs instead of subsidising imports.

Universal Health Care Plans

Let’s make this simple.  The Government should not provide needless handouts for healthcare, but should protect against financially-catastrophic health issues.

If everyone pays a portion of their care at the time-of-service, we discourage the “any-reason” doctor’s visit.  Further, with limited government-subsidy, families have some protection against financial catastrophe for unique medical situations.
