Wired.com reports that both Senate and House proposals are in the works to force ISPs into retaining your identifying-data for up to 2 years.

Obama to “Call Out” any mis-use of stimulus money

President Barack Obama asserts that he will “call out” any mayors who mis-use the Federal stimulus-package funds.  Budget chief released details on how use is to be reported, implying the system is streamlined for transparency on Recovery.gov.

Constitutional Amendment being discussed in wake of Blagojevich “pay-to-play” scandal.

On the heals of the Illinois Governor Blagojevich’s “pay-to-play” scandal, Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold is said to be backing a constitutional amendment to allow special elections when filling Senate vacancies.

Opponents of the measure argue that during the election process, states will not be equally represented.  Proponents refer to current House rules, in which elections are to be held when filling vacancies.
