Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), a member of the House Budget Committee, was pistol-whipped by Obama during the recent Republican retreat.
Jeb incorrectly alleged that Obama’s budget turns the Republican’s (Bush) annual deficits into Democratic monthly deficits.
According to this article, Jeb is back-tracking saying the GOP is responsible for the surpluses from the Clinton years – something every Republican voted against (see below).

Economic stimulus monies should NOT go directly to the consumer, but should instead be geared to those providing services for the economy instead. Cash given to most people will go straight to retail, of which 1/3 will go to imports (Asia & Middle East) almost immediately, so the we are essentially going into deficit to fund imports.
A stimulus package should be geared toward the **money changing hands as many times as possible, within our country** (e.g. for business services, personal services, etc) before being spent on retail.
Help Small Business create jobs instead of subsidising imports.
